Oprah asked Maya what she thought of growing older.

 In April, Maya Angelou was interviewed by Oprah on her 70+ birthday. Oprah asked her what she thought of growing older.

> And, there on television, she said it was “exciting.” Regarding body changes, she said there were many, occurring every day…like her breasts. They seem to be in a race to see which will reach her waist, first.
The audience laughed so hard they cried. She is such a simple and honest woman, with so much wisdom in her words!

> Maya Angelou said this:

> “I’ve learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow.”

> “I’ve learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she handles these three things: a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights.” 

> “I’ve learned that regardless of your relationship with your parents, you’ll miss them when they’re gone from your life.” 

> “I’ve learned that making a “living” is not the same thing as “making a life.”

> “I’ve learned that life sometimes gives you a second chance.”

> “I’ve learned that you shouldn’t go through life with a catcher’s mitt on both hands; you need to be able to throw some things back.”

> “I’ve learned that whenever I decide something with an open heart, I usually make the right decision.”

> “I’ve learned that even when I have pains, I don’ t have to be one.”

READY SET GO!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well is it a go yet? That is what I get from all our believers, have we got a commitment yet from an investor. No I say, another one ran we offered an the group exclusive rights to an entire industry, but it was to big or to small who knows, it is only worth billions.

They all want a piece of the car pie, is it because they want to look like hero’s bringing an electric car to the market, to save the world or just because they smell money. The car industry is a difficult one, you have the car companies backed by oil and you have oil companies not wanting non-gas vehicles on the road. You have governments making it hard to drive an electric car any-where (because they are in bed with the oils companies) and you have regulations that make it expensive to develop a new car company.

Yes electric cars and bikes etc on the road most definably makes a huge difference, BUT, where the real difference is in industries that use gas powered motors all day every day. Replace gas motors in these industries and you will see a mega reduction in carbon and other pollutant fumes.

If you replace all those motors around the world the air in the world will be clean and pure. We will have cheaper energy because we can tap in to air-water-solar-wind and any other friendly power. We have all these energies at hand, many have already perfected many alternatives and as time goes by with public and government persuasion, we will do it better.

Yes our GREEN LIGHT is just around the corner, for some one out there has the brains, the insight, the guts and the money to say “Just do it” we believe we may have already met that one person who has the ability and insightful delivery to get us the gutsy one who say “yes lets do it”

Keep your fingers crossed, we are developing for an electric motor for a car company, lets hope it is one who will bring you the sexiest and most affordable reliable electric motor car by 2010.

A Little to Close for COMFORT.

It not like lights flashing before your eyes, but more like a frozen stomach and hot flashes all at once. A friend and my self were on a motorbike cruising around the Cape mountain roads. It was a lovely day, just right, the breeze across my face was refreshing and the bikes momentum was peaceful.

The road is windy; one side is mountain all the way up the other side a shear drop down a rocky drop all the way to the ocean. My friend was a competent bike rider, and we had ridden together before. It was just a fluke and when it happened, it was a total shock; we were riding along enjoying the ride, when we came across some construction. The lolly pop man waved us through; there were huge bolder moving vehicles one side, other big things and a crane. We were driving on through nice a slowly when out of the blue the crane with some thing hanging from it came right at us. Suddenly all hell broke loose, the lolly pop man yelling at the crane operator, men running and my friend trying for all his life’s worth to stay on the road away from the cliffs and the emerging crane.    

WOW, host flushes, ice knot in the stomach, life in your throat and a cliffs edge hugging us. We rode the edge of that cliff for in felt like an eternity, only seeing the jagged rocks beckoning us and the cold cold water lapping up at us. Shear silence, extreme fear, and one of the longest moments of my life.

Yes we made it I am telling the story. The panic on all the men’s faces when they saw the crane coming for us was terrifying, our lives had been in their hands, and the relief when we after an AGE made in back on to sure footing of the road, there was cheers, and a big sigh from the both of us.

My friend and I rode home in silence, what could you say! We each reacted to our new death experience in our own way. I did commend him for his steady hand and brilliant control of his bike.

It may not surprise you, but no I never got on a bike again. It is not that I avoided them, but that I never had the opportunity to do so. May be God was telling me some thing and yes I am listening…………………..

Be careful for what you wish for

Cinderella was now 75 years old. After a fulfilling life with the now departed Prince, she happily sat in her rocking chair watching the world go by with her cat Alan. One afternoon, out of nowhere, appeared her Fairy Godmother. Cinderella said, “Fairy Godmother, what are you doing here after all these years?” The Fairy Godmother replied, “Well Cinderella, since you have lived a good wholesome life since we last met, I have decided to grant you three wishes. Is there anything for which your heart still yearns?” Cinderella was overjoyed. “I wish I was extremely wealthy”, she said. Instantly, her rocking chair turned into solid gold. Alan, her cat, jumped off her lap and ran to the edge of the porch quivering with fear. Oh thank you Fairy Godmother,” said Cinderella. Is there anything else you might wish for”, asked the Fairy Godmother. Cinderella looked down at her frail body, and said, “I wish I was young and full of the beauty I once had.”

At once, her wish was granted. Cinderella felt feeling inside her that she had not felt for years. The Fairy Godmother said, “you have one wish remaining, what shall you have?” Cinderella looked at her frightened cat in the corner and said, “I wish you turn Alan, my old cat, into a handsome young man.” Magically, Alan suddenly underwent a change and then before them stood young man with the looks and body that no other man could match. The Fairy Godmother again spoke “Congratulations Cinderella. Enjoy your new life,” and with that she was gone. For a few eerie moments, Cinderella and Alan looked into each other’s eyes.  Cinderella sat breathless, gazing at the most stunning, perfect man she had ever seen. Then Alan walked over to Cinderella and held her close in his muscular arms. He leant in close to her ear and whispered in a warm breath, “bet you regret having my balls chopped off now, don’t you?”

The moral of the story is be careful of what you wish for, it may not be what you really want or need.

What would give up for your destiny?

What would give up for your cause your chosen or unchossen destiny? Would you give up your money, your freedom, your home or your peace of mind? Would you give up your family?

If every day of your life you heard the same thing over and over again but had no idea what or why it was but you could not shake it. If there was a force so strong that you made decisions that you would think others mad for, but here you are doing it not knowing why you do them any way?

Some of us struggle with every thing in life no matter how we try to change it, (I have a theory about that for another time) some of us feel lost and can find no direction at all. Then there are some of us that are driven crazy with a persistent drive forward towards some thing that we do not as yet comprehend.

We may be in careers that chose us giving us drive and conviction, focus and strength. We have talents that we do not know where they come from, and an inability to do any thing else well. It may not make sense to anyone else, why you are so driven over some thing different or that does not pay well. They may say but you could choose a much easier route that makes more money, or what is going to come of it, your are a looser. No matter what they say, if you are driven to do some thing sense or not, then do it, it for a reason even if at the time you do not understand.

My Mama Jo

11898552_10152954828321415_3278545384202705781_nMy mama, an actress a wife a mum. She has turned heads in here time and had many a guy fall head over heals in love with her. She has had many proposals from men who loved the wonder in her heart and innocence of life.

But alas my mum only married once and that was painful enough for her. She married a man who was handsome gallant and exciting, but oh boy was he wrong for her. I am their daughter and love them both very much, but even a child early on knows when some thing aint right.

He was a good-looking war hero, she a divorced woman with a child (my sister Jane) and totally unaware of the impact she had on people. My Dad proposed the first time he saw her, he said” do not ask me to be your best man” how it was a proposal I do not know, but never the less they did eventually marry. My grand-mama Daisy was against the marriage from the start, she did not want her son marrying a divorcee. She faked heart attacks and much more, and each time my dad gave in and the marriage was postponed till he eventually stood up for his wife to be.

  • Tenth        I will sit back and take in all that this week has given my with a smile in my heart and a pleased grin on my face.

Dream yourself to a better life

Are dreams just that dreams, or are they visions of some thing to come? I have a dream for my self, a vision of what I want life to be, do I dismiss them because they feel out of reach right now? Or do I believe in them and strive to make them work?

I believe that if you cannot see it, feel it, and live it in your dreams you can never make it happen. The universe has to understand what it is that you want in order to deliver it. That does not mean it has to be exact, when a dream or desire does come true in comes in the way you need it and in what will help you grow.

Ninteen years.

How time flies, it seems like only yesterday that we were dinning out working hard and doing everything together. We came together with our mutual colours, Orange, and partied and worked hard with intensity. Our inquiring minds Green, talked about many things in the world, even if we did not agree we talked.

We raised our kids, introduced them to Chinese foods and culture. We took them skating, and to the movies and we all had our fun. We traveled and watched our kids look wondrously at new things, and we smiled at each other knowing that this is what it is all about. As they grew, you got busier, unable to attend all the activities that they did. They knew that you loved them and they still do.
